MORENO VALLEY HEALTH CARE CLINIC:
RECEPTIONIST
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Knowledge of State, Federal and Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations required: clinic policies and procedures: medical terminology: computer programs and applications.
· Excellent Customer Service skills required.
· Communication and organizational skills required.
· Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs required. Skill in basic office equipment, multiline telephone system, good communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively: communicate clearly: establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, team members, and the general public.
Assists with daily operational needs of the facility and administrative details by performing the following duties: coordinating the front office operations and performing key receptionist functions including greeting arriving patients and visitors; answering telephones; screening calls and visitors to determine nature of request or problem; taking messages; triage calls; handle standard information for billing; developing and distributing a variety of forms and informational materials; Data entry for daily payments and patient information. Follow supervisor’s guidance and be proficient with multitasking.
FULL TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR PART TIME RN FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINIC
Full-Time Medical Assistant QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma
· Graduation from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred but not required
· Minimum of one year experience in medical field
· On the job training with eventual certification in CPR, EKG, Phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
Skills for Full-Time Medical Assistant and/or Registered Nurse
· Skill in performing tasks appropriately and with minimum supervision.
· Skill with tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.
· Skill in understanding of patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families.
· Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
· Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks.
· Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
Part-Time RN PRIMARY CARE QUALIFICATIONS
· Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing required.
· Current New Mexico license as a Registered Nurse required.
· Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
· At least one year as a clinical nurse in a clinic environment is preferred.
· Excellent Customer Service skills required.
· Communication and organizational skills required.
Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking appointments and organizing patient flow; rooming patients, obtaining and recording vital signs, weight/height, chief complaint, current medications. Reporting to Provider any unusual findings noted during intake process. Assist with minor surgical procedures and/or wound care as needed. Performs EKG and phlebotomy as needed. Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: sending/receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, prior authorization, etc.; scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, maintaining current patient demographics. Maintaining patient records, which includes filing all documents per established protocol. Fulfills environmental responsibly as assigned which include: setting up instruments and equipment per established protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control standards,
cleaning sterilizer, restocking exam/procedure rooms, ordering and stocking supplies. Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include: respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors. The Registered Nurse is to be clinically competent. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of the physician. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Will required to oversee clinical policies and procedures. Update and implement clinical training and staff compliance as needed.
